Anderson's Flowers (Iselin, NJ)
REVIEW - N/A: June 2011 wedding. This is the florist The Imperia uses. They include centerpieces in your package (which are boring like roses and baby’s breath or something) so we use ½ of those, added some orchids and then put submerged orchid tripdicts with floating candles and LEDs on the other ½ of the tables. He also did our bouquets and ceremony flowers (an arch and bows on the chairs w/ roses). Several missteps here 1) He didn’t tape down the aisle runner and it was blowing all over the place. 2) The orchids for our cake were supposed to be dark blue dendros (which are purple in color), instead we got DYED blue dendros (which are actually BLUE). 3) The freshness of some of the flowers wasn’t the best, my mom wasn’t happy about it at all, I honestly didn’t even notice. 4) Only 1 flower was put on each chair bow, you can’t even see them in photos. On the plus side he was very affordable, and I thought the bouquets were amazing looking. The arch was a little sparse on flowers, I would have liked to see more, but no big deal.

REVIEW - cindyn9178: September 2011. (A-) Friends of mine had used this florist in the past and I had seen what a great job Lisa had done, so I was sure my flowers would be amazing as well. All of the bouquets were red roses, and they were beautiful. Despite the humid weather, they held up perfectly, and two days later, still look great. The flowers arrived at my house on time. I had two minor issues: The groom's bout, flower girl bouquet and mom's corsages were all supposed to be white roses, however, they were more like a pale yellow. It was very obvious the groom's bout was not white, when standing next to my dress. Also, they delivered all of the guy's bouts to the church, instead of my house - which I had specifically asked for. It wasn't a problem in the end, but was a little stressful that day, just making sure they weren't missing.

REVIEW - philleej: September 2011. Nathan - A+++++
Nathan was amazing. I want to recommend him to everyone I know. He was so patient with me when I first came in, since I had no idea what I wanted. He helped me pick out the design for everything, gave me great advice, and was super patient, even when I called to change details a few times. The centerpieces were so unique and beautiful and exactly what I wanted. My bouquet was perfect! And to top it all off he was so affordable and they delivered everything on time. Just awesome vendor to work with.

REVIEW - N/A: July 2011 wedding. We mostly worked with Nathan, but during a couple meetings Oscar also sat with us. Both of them are great to work with and are clearly passionate about what they do. Nathan gave us the best prices of anyone we spoke to and even threw in a few things for us as well. During out first meeting we showed him some very general inspiration pictures, gave him our budget, and showed him pictures of my dress and a swatch from the BM dresses. With that information he was able to start throwing ideas out at us and pulling flowers from the back room so we could see exactly what he was talking about. He wound up doing mockups for us and even though that our mockups were done a solid year before our wedding (we wanted it done when summer flowers were in bloom), he never forgot a single conversation we had and he always remembered exactly who we were whenever we called. Nathan was also very honest with us from the start by telling us that if we purchased the vases on our own we’d be saving ourselves some money, so he directed us to a wholesale flower shop in Newark that had the best prices I had seen anywhere (less than 1/3 of the prices I was finding elsewhere). The final products on our wedding day were beautiful and held up great despite the fact that the ceremony and part of the cocktail hour were outdoors on one of the hottest day of the year. The colors Nathan helped us pick really popped and everything came to together better than we could have hoped for. The bouquets were the perfect size (he actually figured out the best size for mine based on how big I said I wanted, as well as how big I am so that I wouldn't be covered up by a too-big bouquet), the cocktail hour CPs added the perfect amount of color to the room, and the reception CPs were bright and full. I’ve seen reviews of florists on here in which brides say often love their mockups but are disappointed with their day-of centerpieces, bouquets, etc. For us, it was the opposite. We liked the mockups, but the day-of arrangements looked even better. Our arrangements were fairly simple compared to the more elaborate bouquets and CPs I see on here, but they still had the wow factor and, apparently our guests really liked them, because at the end of the night our guests took it upon themselves to take our CPs home with them!
REVIEW - Denise91980: I used Avenue Florist in Elizabeth. Definitely an A. They were very
reasonable and easy to work with. I added centerpieces literally a week
prior and they did it without any problems. I spent around $800 for my
bouquet, 7BM bouquets, 9 boutineers, 4 small boutineers, 13 Centerpieces
and flowers for 4 FG baskets.

REVIEW: September 2011. Pros: Adam and Nicole were amazing. First of all, they were extremely accommodating and patient working with us, and did 2 different mock-ups for us ahead of time. They were also on time delivering everything, and a pleasure to be around and talk to. Day of the wedding, the flowers blew me away. Adam worked exactly within the budget, and honestly at the end of it all I wanted to just pay him more money because the centerpieces and bouquets were so stunning. Cons: The chuppah did not look as I had envisioned but it was still beautiful, and looking back not the fault of Adam really but I think I was not clear in explaining what I wanted, so I cannot fault them for it at all
REVIEW - kasabby: July 2011. Adam did a great job with my flowers! They were exactly what I envisioned! There were tons of guests that came over to tell me how pretty they were. I was really impressed. The only thing I didn't really love were the flowers in the father bouts and mother corsages. They were some type of small roses but after about 2 hours, they were wilting. They just didn't hold up well. The GM bouts, BM flowers, and my flowers, were gorgeous and held up all night--as well as the centerpieces. Overall, a good experience.
REVIEW - gymchick05: June 2011 wedding. AMAZING!!!!!! Adam did the most fantastic job on my flowers- they were better than I could have ever imagined! I literally jumped up and down when I saw the ballroom decorated. Hes an amazing artist, great personality, and so flexible with any changed I needed to make. I had a bit of hesitation booking since the price seemed too good to be true, but he out did himself and everyone was raving about the flowers and thought I paid 5x more than I did!!! Thank you so much for making our wedding so beautiful! Looking at the room, I felt like David Tutera had been there haha My bouquet was also amazing and the altar arrangements were HUGE and exquisite.
REVIEW - dalmatinka77: April 2011 wedding. Adam is amazing. Any person that's delt with him can say he has a wonderful and easy going personality. He knew exactly what I wanted when I met with him and he did an amazing job with everything all while staying below my budget. He refuses to rip brides off. My centerpieces were beautiful and not one was left on the tables by the end of the night. I screwed up and forgot to mention to Adam that I added 1 table the week before the wedding and he didn't even care, he set everything up with extra supplies and didn't badger me about anything.
REVIEW - gia0404: February 2011 wedding. For Adam I struggle between the B- & C for his rating...This saddened me deeply! When I met with Adam I was so confident that he was going to capture everything I envisioned. He gave us a great price and made the most amazing models for us to look at for our 2nd meeting. The models were gorgeous! Had everything I wanted & then some! The day of the wedding he delivered the bouquets to my hotel room & gave me a run down of everything he was going to do. It all sounded perfect & I was really anxious to see my centerpieces. When we arrived at Ariana's I was so dissappointed :( He had filled the vases with a disgusting gel instead of water, there wasn't an orchid submerged or any uplite like he had in our contract & modelled for us. The flowers & branches were not full. I was so, so sad about this. Everyone says they were still beautiful & that really John & I are the only ones who knew but definately not what we paid for or wanted!! My bouquets were beautiful altho the orchids were wilting before the ceremony even started.
REVIEW - mbcdefg: Booked in late 2009. Price: about $700 (flowers for couple, four attendants, four family
members, four readers and 20 low centerpieces including purchase of
vases).
I didn't want to spend a ton of money on flowers, since I like simple
centerpieces and since we didn't need church flowers (the church still
had Easter flowers up on the altar). Adam from AW Flowers really
listened to our floral budget and I thought he gave us some great bang
for our buck. I didn't think we'd be able to afford floral centerpieces,
but when I threw out a proposed budget for that he suggested something
right away that he could do for us - the final product was lovely. The
price included mockups of the personal flowers and the centerpieces. I
gave him polka-dotted ribbon for the bridesmaid bouquets and he laced
the handles in a corset-style manner, and both my sister and I thought
it was such a fun and funky detail. I was initially told that buying my
own centerpiece vases would be cheaper, but after I bought seven and
brought one into the shop, I was then told that I could buy the
remaining nine for less than half the price. A little annoying, but
since I hadn't spent that much money on the vases I didn't care too
much. I had also asked for flowers on the cake and those weren't put in
place, but the cake looked fine without them. Votive candles were placed
on the guest tables, around the centerpieces, which was a nice touch.
We wound up with a credit at the end, since my mother paid our entire
bill as a Christmas gift and didn't know that I had put down a deposit
when I booked them, so I was handed the cash on the wedding day when the
flowers were delivered. We saw a ton of people leaving the reception
with the centerpieces and I don't think any were left behind. I was glad
to get beautiful flowers and kind service without spending a ton of
money.

REVIEW: Cathy was very helpful picking out flowers for our wedding day. We came in with very little idea of what we wanted (knew the color of the BM dresses!) and Cathy was able to show us ideas and come up with flowers that would look great together off the top of her head. She worked with us on our living plant centerpieces which was non-traditional. Cathy was very helpful in keeping with a reasonable budget and we were impressed. She worked with us when we had a last minute issue with our centerpieces. Our entire wedding flower package (bouts, bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony arrangement) was under $2000 and there were 3 delivery sites - all included.

REVIEW - rr2011: May 2011 wedding. I was so pleased with Peter’s floral arrangements. I had a vision and idea for the church, the girls, and my flowers and he came through. I wanted a floating candle set-up at our church and it was beautiful. Centerpieces were a highlight of the reception room and my bouquet size was very appropriate for my height and build.

Reasonably priced and very creative! She owns her shop and creates your centerpieces herself. I love her work and she was very easy to work with.

REVIEW: September 2011. B+ I was very pleased with my bouquet and the flowers over all. Anna did a great job with my vision on the centerpieces and hit it out of the park on my bouquet which she trimmed with extra crystals from my dress. Everything was really pretty but was missing just that little something extra that I had expected for all the money I spent.

REVIEW - gibribuz: December 2010 wedding. I loved loved loved my
flowers! Connie did a wonderful job. I changed my mind a few times
about the color of my bouquet and a couple of other things and Connie was very
understanding. She gave me a great price for my centerpieces, which I
originally thought would be out of my budget. She is very knowledgeable
about flowers and will tell you what will work and what won’t. Most of our flowers,
including my bouquet, were very heavy on hydrangeas and they stayed fresh
looking for days after the wedding. The picture above is of my
bouquet.

REVIEW - McJays: November 2011. My friend used Denise for her wedding last year and highly recommended her. I really wanted orchids as the focus of all my arrangements and the other florists I met with told me I couldn't have orchids (or could only have a few) because of my budget. However, Denise was able to work with my budget without having to cut out the orchids and all the flowers turned out beautifully.

REVIEW: September 2011. A+++++Mitch was an incredible person to deal with. I was a little nervous at first. He seemed very confident right off the bat that he understood what I wanted so for some reason I questioned him. What I dummy I am. Literally when I saw my flowers I jumped up and down and screamed because they were awesome! He did the outdoor area beautifully and the gazebo could not have looked better.

REVIEW - SpillerExtraordinaire: I know nothing about flowers. I had a very vague idea in my head and
Kathy made it come to life. We were also very cost conscious so she was
scoping out all the different ways that we could save money and making
sure that we were aware of it. All the bouquets, bouts, and
centerpieces looked fantastic. Also, about a week before the wedding we
contacted her because we realized we were over our heads with what we
wanted to do for the escort card table. She took control and it looked
fantastic. Overall, she was awesome and we would recommend her to
anyone in the area!

REVIEW - rutgersgirl82: October 2010 wedding (Saturday). Worked with Laurie, the owner, but her assistant wasn't particularly
helpful. Paid about $3,000 (included 6 BM Bouquets, 5
GMs, MOB/MOG, bridal bouquet, 15 table arrangements, cocktail hour
decor, church pew decorations, cake decorations, carved monogram pumpkin
and more). Laurie
did an amazing job with our flowers. I was impressed with Laurie from
the first moment I met with her. As soon as she started describing what
she had in mind for our flowers I knew she was the florist for us. Her
vision and description of the flowers she suggsted using tied in
absolutely perfectly with everything that I was looking for. The day of
the flowers were EXACTLY as I had envisioned and expected everything
came out perfectly as promised. Laurie made beautiful bouquets,
centerpieces, decorated the cake just the way we wanted, even the pew
bows were beautiful and unique. We did have a small incident on the day
of the wedding when things were missing/not delivered to the house, her
assistant was a little strange about it however it was quickly resolved
by Laurie and the situation was fixed with no problems. That aside the
work of her flowers was beautiful, I think she did an amazing job and
absolutely met all of our expectations. We could not have been any
happier with the quality and assembly of all of the flowers she put
together for us.

WEBSITEReview -37butterknives: April 2011 wedding. A real artist, and so much fun to work with! She was my venue's recommended florist. She embraced the style I was aiming for - colorful and whimsical, with a variety of flowers - and she was fairly priced.
Metropolitan Plant & Flower Exchange (several NJ locations)
REVIEW: October 2011 (A+) I didn’t want anything fancy & wanted to keep the cost low so we had three simple arrangements in mason jars I provided (gerberas, roses, & lilies). My bouquet & my sister’s bouquet looked gorgeous. Yumi was very accommodating & let me come in for a 2nd appointment once I had the mason jars to check sizes & make changes.
REVIEW - Kristen8040: May 2011 wedding. Yumilla was at times hard to get a hold of since there are multiple offices and she would at times be in appointments. When we did meet, she was always so sweet and flexible with everything she did. We were able to take home mock-ups of my bouquet and the centerpieces. Day of, the flowers arrived right on time. My bouquet had green crystals in it and my MOH's was supposed to have clear ones. I guess there was a mixup since my sister's had green ones also. It was not a huge deal and the delivery man offered to have a new one sent over but it was not that big of a deal. I felt like my bouquet got a bit brownish towards the middle of the night but it wasn't noticeable to others. The centerpieces looked wonderful and it's a week later and the one we have in our house still looks great!
REVIEW - MCRM22011: August 2011. My flowers were delivered on time to my fiance at his parents house and to me at my house. I ordered peach, pink, and ivory roses for my bouquet and some of the ends were slighly wilted when they arrived. I ordered pink and ivory roses for my matron of honor’s bouquet, yet I received ivory carnations and pink roses. I had previously discussed using carnations and roses in an inital consultation (verbally), but in a second consultation with Elyse at Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange, we then decided to make a small bouquet of ivory and pink roses. I very calmy and politely called Metropolitan and spoke to Elyse who was very apologetic and set over another bouquet of roses, although it was very small and the roses were not open. My centerpieces were what we discussed - black vases, ivory and pink tightly packed carnations, curly willow, with pink crystals dangling. While I did not closely examine every centerpiece, I do think that the centerpiece flowers were in good condition. I did want black square vases and I woke up the morning after the wedding and realized she gave me black circular vases. However, it was not a major deal in the end. I provided bouquet and centerpiece crystals and both were used, which was a concern of mine. The boutineers and mother/grandmother flowers were in good shape and as described. The flower delivery driver was cordial and polite.

REVIEW - NikkiPSU: June 2011 wedding. Ken did an amazing job on our flowers! He took the vision I had and made it a reality. He was so easy to work with and the quote that he gave us a year beforehand didn't change at all throughout the entire process!
Petal Beach (Long Branch, NJ)
REVIEW - akmackay: May 2010 wedding. Bonnie was great through
the whole process. She is more expensive, but the flowers were
beautiful. They were delivered early and with a spray bottle to keep
them moist. However, I’m sure because of the weather even though it
wasn’t very hot or humid; mine were wilting pretty early on. By the end
of the night, most of the tips were brown on my white flowers. Kind of
disappointing, but oh well I guess. Still found them to be gorgeous, and
I loved my cake the way she decorated!

REVIEW - flochan07: May 2011 wedding. We met Lori at the HealthQuest Bridal Expo in Flemington. Lori was fairly easy to get in touch with whenever I had any questions via email. No delivery or set up fees were charged. She dropped off the flowers at my mother's house and the remaining flowers at the Arboretum. Very accommodating and she was mindful of my budget but kept the style that I wanted.

REVIEW - Babycakes SE: May 2011 wedding. My flowers were fine. They were beautiful and stayed healthy and full the whole time. However, I thought the bouquet would have been bigger, including my bridesmaids. Plus, we added a centerpiece to our archway and it looked like cheap ugly flowers. I thought they were going to be roses like my bouquet, but they looked like crappy daisies with green weeds in them. We got an good deal because someone knew them, but honestly… I was pretty pissed about the archway.

REVIEW: -cutiepie12702: August 2011. A+ - Linda was my favorite vendor to work with who gave me no headache or cause for worry at any point during the planning process. She was such a pleasure to deal with and our flowers were STUNNING! They absolutely were one of the top things that made our wedding as over the top and stunning as it was. As soon as I met with her I knew she understood my vision and when I saw our mock-up she hit the nail right on the head. The day of was even better than I could have imagined. I can't thank her and her team enough - the guests were floored by the centerpieces and the Chuppah was beautiful!
Rosie Posies (Manalapan, NJ)
REVIEW - N/A: 2011 wedding. At the beginning, Rosies Posies was great. I had a mock up of my wedding centerpieces, and they were lovely. I was told that on the day of my wedding, the centerpieces would be delivered and set up by one of the florists. Once they had my $3000, all bets were off. On the day of the wedding, Rosies Posies showed its true colors. My wedding reception started at 6pm. When the venue had not heard from the florist all day, they started calling at 4:30pm to find out where Rosies Posies was. Roses Posies did not arrive until well after 6pm, when my reception had already started. Only a delivery person showed up, and not one of the florists as promised. This created a big problem. They were setting up while my guests were already beginning to enjoy the cocktail hour! I didn't have the centerpiece for the card table or the candles until things had begun!! Because of their lateness, the set up for the reception portion of the wedding was not complete until 7:20pm. My dinner was supposed to start at 7pm. I lost 20 minutes of time for dinner, and lost 20 minutes of time that I had paid for a band. My mother missed the entire cocktail hour trying to sort out the mess. She was so upset. This was only the tip of the problems with Rosies Posies. Additionally, the flowers were nothing like the mock up I had seen. I have pictures of the mock up and the actual flowers to compare. The mock ups were fuller and larger than those delivered, which was an extreme disappointment, considering the large amount of money I paid. Additionally, the flowers did not last. My brother's boutonniere died before we even finished pictures!! Additionally, a number of the corsages for the parents died well before the end of the night. Even a number of centerpieces were dead before the end of the night. No one wanted to take them home because they were dead. Furthermore, Rosies Posies lacked professionalism. On the day of the wedding, the driver was extremely rude to my mother, and rude to the service people at the reception hall. We were understandably upset about the late delivery. His answer was that the hall would not let him in because of a prior event. However, I know for a fact that there was no prior event, making his excuse a lie. Additionally, the hall had a log (which they showed me) of how many times they attempted to contact Rosies Posies to get them to the hall on time. The day following my wedding, my mother and my aunt went to Rosies Posies with pictures of the dead flowers (including the bout and corsages, and some of the dead centerpieces). She also brought a dead centerpiece to the florist. Felicia was rude and unprofessional to them as well. She told my mother that MY MOTHER should have watered the flowers, and that is why they died during the reception. She also told my mother that it was "too bad" and "too late" and that I had paid for the flowers, and that was the end of the story. No refund, no apology, nothing. Just dead flowers. Be forewarned before you book Rosies Posies as a vendor. They were nothing but horrible. They were late, lying, and unprofessional. I would not have minded paying so much for good flowers. But dead flowers at a wedding is completely unacceptable. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

REVIEW: August 2011. C+
We chose this florist based on some reviews on the knot so I was a little surprised at how everything turned out. Don't get me wrong it wasn't anything awful, just some of the things weren't exactly what we were expecting. We booked our florist almost 6 months out so we had plenty of time to go over our idea for the wedding flowers. She had everything in writing and we went over it at least 3 times, but I guess she just didn't get it. First of all my bouquet was beautiful the way it was, but it wasn't quite what I wanted. I asked for pink roses with pears in more of a ball shape, instead I got just plain pink roses in not really a ball shape at all. The ceremony bows on the chairs looked really tacky and I would have expected a lot more from a place like this. The garland over the gazebo was completley wrong, I had said I didn't want a lot of greenery at all and that I wanted it mainly roses and hydrangeas with some tulle and ribbons hanging down, instead I got a lot of greenery with small clusters of roses and hardly any ribbon at all. I do have to say that our table centerpieces looked absolutley gorgeous, however she did a mock-up centerpiece and we were able to fine tune it. Overall it really was not horrible, I just wish it would have been what I had told her...

Overall it really was not horrible, I just wish it would have been what I had told her...
Santos Florist (Newark, NJ)
REVIEW - N/A: June 2011 wedding. The flowers that we received were beautiful, but I made a change at the final meeting we had to the bm bouqets that wasn't incorporated but actually I think the bouquets looked better than they otherwise would have so how could I be upset about that...the centerpieces the changes I made at our final meeting were incorporated. Thanks knotties for this pick.
REVIEW - Reilly626: August 2010 wedding. Worked with Manny- he's the best! Paid $1500 (he discounts all teachers, firefighters, and cops and an additional discout for paying cash). 10
centerpieces (tall and full) 5 bouquets, 1 flowergirl, brides bouquet,
and several flowers for the men, 2 large church baskets, a runner, and
ribbons. Manny at Santos was one of my favorite vendors, not only
was he so nice, his prices were unbeatable! We went to several florists
and no one could match him. I wanted tall, large and full centerpieces
and he delivered. He provided me with flowers I only dreamed of,
everyone thought I spent ten thousand on flowers!
REVIEW: August 2011. Manny was simply fantastic!!!! When my bouquets arrived at my house the morning of the wedding I was completely floored!!!! I couldn't of been happier with my centerpieces. The price, quality, and service is unbeatable.
Somerset Hills Florist (Basking Ridge, NJ)
REVIEW - jcg98: November 2011. - A Catherine was wonderful to work with, I really liked her energy and creative vision. We had a preview of her work at my shower – my aunt hired her to create beautiful summery centerpieces. For our fall wedding, I bought wrought-iron pumpkin votive holders, and she transformed them into really beautiful centerpieces with wreaths of greenery and flowers. The bouquets were gorgeous, fresh and lasted all night.
REVIEW - golfrgal: May 2011 wedding. Catherine at Somerset Hills Florist was terrific! I knew from the moment I met her at a bridal show that she was the only florist who would be able to understand the complicated concepts in my head and translate them into beautiful works of art to fit my theme. She was easy to work with, took the time to learn my likes and dislikes, and communicated well. She delivered above and beyond my expectations. Most beautiful centerpiece arrangements and bouquets imaginable!
REVIEW - Danes983: December 2010 wedding. Catherine is wonderful to work with. The bouquets looked beautiful and so did my centerpieces. She charged us a nominal fee and she would set them up. She
has a very modern style which I love. Her ideas are fresh. She didn’t
try to up sell me when I told her we were on a flower budget and she
even came in $200 less than we were quoted. I can’t wait for my friends to get married so they can use her!
Something Nice Floral Designs (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ)
REVIEW - N/A: June 2011 wedding. Carol is so nice and really took time to understand my vision. However, the day of my white flowers started to turn brown early in the day. My bouquet was pretty small too...She made me a mock up a few months back and it was much bigger. This was the one thing I did not splurge on, so for the price her work was fine.
A Touch of Elegance (Randolph, NJ)
Where Flowers Bloom (Parsippany, NJ)
REVIEW - melliott09: April 2011 wedding. Debbie was amazing! She was so friendly, and had the same “visions” I had. She was not pushy, didn’t try to change my ideas and so affordable! I called so many florists, and a again, since it was such a small wedding, a lot of florists couldn’t “accommodate” our party and had table minimums. We only had 5 tables, and other then our 3 children (ring bearers) and my 3 nieces (flower girls) we had no bridal party. I had all roses for my bouquet, with lots of bling! We paid under $800 and she decorated everything in my reception room, with many of my decorations (I made pomanders, and supplied the vases, vase rocks, and candles) She played the role of wedding coordinator/decorator the day of. She was extremely easy to get a hold of, and such a wonderful woman!
