REVIEW - jcg98: November 2011. A+ We had considered this venue for our reception, and my mom liked it so much she booked it for my shower. The food was fantastic – buffet with hot and cold options, and a two-course luncheon, with beer/wine/soda on consumption. The room the shower was held in overlooks the golf course and we were blessed with a beautiful day. There were a few no-shows and they wrapped up the extra lunches for us to take home. Highly recommend.

Bistro 73 (Bernardsville, NJ)

REVIEW - jcg98: November 2011. Rehearsal dinner: A+ We booked this about a month in advance because our original RD location closed (without notifying us…!!!) Anyway, Bistro 73 really came through for us, and then some. The food is fantastic, and they were really flexible with the menu and added some extras just because. The décor has a pretty modern feel to it, and it is BYOB which we wanted. We had about 30 people and the room could easily accommodate more. Highly recommend.

Carpaccio Ristorante (Middlesex, NJ)
Cryans (South Orange, NJ)
REVIEW - August 2011: Rehearsal Dinner-Cryan’s, South Orange NJ-A+- We had the back room, they decorated the room with our wedding colors and although it may be hard to dress up that room, it looked very nice. The food and service were incredible and it was a great place to start our events.
Crystal Springs Grand Cascades Lodge

REVIEW - gymchick05: June 2011. We held our rehearsal dinner in the Garden Room of the Grand Cascades Lodge. The food was wonderful, the staff was great and super attentive, and the views are amazing. I also loved they had the outdoor patio and grounds that our guests could go outside and enjoy and take photos, etc. Beautiful all around- just pricey to add in the alcohol (they charge per hour per person). They were also super flexible with a last minute headcount change and only needed a 25 person minimum for the room.
Mohawk House (Sparta, NJ)

REVIEW - music11: October 2012. We held our rehearsal dinner at the Mohawk House, and everything about it was great! The atmosphere inside is very warm and welcoming, yet still elegant enough for an event. The food was excellent, and the owner was super nice and easy to work with. A+

REVIEW: September 2011. Rehearsal Dinner – A+
At first I was extremely nervous booking with Pal’s – they gave us a fantastic deal but then seemed unorganized as the date approached, forgetting to put our dinner on their schedule. However, we went over everything with them multiple times, and the rehearsal dinner went SO well! It was set up on time exactly as we had wanted. The head waiter Paul and assistant waiter made everything run sooooo smoothly, the food was great, they let us stay after the restaurant closed because we were having such a great time, and the manager Henry came in even though it was his day off just to make sure we were happy.
Pazzo Pazzo (Morristown, NJ)
Pino's La Forchetta (Marlboro, NJ)
REVIEW - cutiepie12702: July 2011. My shower was yesterday at Pino's La Forchetta in Englishtown/Marlboro. Everything was AMAZING!! Everyone is still raving about the food and how nice and beautiful the place was. The room was very private and off to the side when you first walk in, so no restaurant customers were near us. The place is very classy and elegant - waiters/servers wear tuxedos and they were all very professional and attentive to the guests. The food is absolutely fantastic (we had a buffet - chicken francaise, veal parm, tilapia oreganato, eggplant rollatini, rigatoni vodka, and caesar salad). We also had champagne punch that tasted great. My cake was a cannoli cake and they served it with chocolate sauce around the plate with a strawberry - it was SO good! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone for any private event...or just for a nice dinner! The food always tastes great when we go there!
Que Pasta (Saddle Brook, NJ)
Renatos (Jersey City, NJ)
REVIEW: September 2011. Rehearsal Dinner: Mark took care of everything for us. The food was delicious and the service was great. He was able to accomodate all of us (30+) with ease. Very happy!
Russo's Continental (Bound Brook, NJ)
REVIEW - cindyn9178: We had about 50 people at the shower in the Escoffier room and there was plenty of space. The decor was nice and the room looked very pretty. The food was a buffet, including salad, fruit (which was delicious), mixed vegetables, baked ziti, roasted potatoes, chicken marsala and sausage & Peppers (there are other options/choices available). It is BYOB, so a lot of money was saved by bringing our own wine. All of the food was very good. The wait staff was excellent and we had no problems with them. They also provided the cake, which we were not happy with. The filling was not as requested, and the cake was very dry. Also, they wrote on the cake with gel instead of regular icing, which looked weird. Overall, I would recommend Russo's, but possibly look into getting a cake somewhere else if they will allow it.
